Horse Camp 2025
During the vacation this year we will offer 4 weeks of camp where students can learn about ration and holistic horsemanship, riding skills, teamwork and enjoy games, sports and art classes, all on the subject of horses! |
Conditions
Payment is required in advance to book any lesson or series. A session may be rescheduled, according to availability, with 24 hour advance notice. No refund or rescheduling will be offered in the case of failure to inform or to show up for a class. A standard responsibility release waiver provided by the ranch much be signed by each participant. Upon requesting a booking a detailed list of conditions, inclusions and exclusions will be provided. For any concerns please contact the ranch. |
Get to know the nature of horses and how they communicate with us. In our camp we will learn about the instinctive behaviour of horses, how they live and how to be comfortable and safe around them. Each day will be tailored to the individual participants, depending on age, previous experience and comfort level around these incredible animals. Participants will enjoy the ranch environment! Each day will include art, sports, games, horsemanship and riding.
Sessions are offered for participants of all experience levels ages 6-14 years old. Helmets are provided. Our instructor Kyd Campbell is a seasoned horseback guide and trainer who learned to ride in classic English riding schools throughout her youth in Canada and is one of the foremost backcountry horseback guides in South America. She is a WIlderness First Aid First Responder and studied the EAGALA method of Equine Assisted Growth and Learning. Maximum 12 children in each week. Contact us to sign up! Please bring: - adequate clothing: long pants, long sleeve shirt, rubber boots extra shoes (avoid heavy hiking boot or very light shoes), sun protection and a rain jacket.
