Sacred Valley Riding School: Horseback Riding Lessons

We offer private and small group horsemanship and riding lessons in a holistic atmosphere, for children and adults, tailored to your interests.
Prices
  • Intro session, obligatory before joining in weekly group classes - 90min. - 220 soles

  • Private class, 60 minutes - 120 soles
  • Private class, 90 minutes - 150 soles
​
  • Group classes, 90 minutes (from 7+ years old)
  • 1 X per week - 260 soles / monthly
  • 2 X per week - 400 soles / monthly

  • Group classes, 60 minutes (3-6 years old)
  • 1 X per week - 200 soles / monthly
 
  • Horse Camp, 5 days - 400 soles
  • Horse Camp, 10 days - 740 soles

  • Family Horsemanship sessions
  • 90 minute session - 280 soles (2 adults & up to 4 children)
  • 2.5 hour session  - 400 soles (2 adults & up to 4 children)
  • additional participants: 60 soles

  • Other workshops and coaching - variable rates depending on the workshop, time and group size
Classes are include instruction about the horse's nature and forms of communication, handling and saddling the horse.

We recommend taking a series of classes once or twice a week to deepen your knowledge and skill. A major part of learning to ride is developing specialised muscles and confidence.

Classes are offered for riders of all levels. Helmets are provided.


All classes are taught at our ranch in Urubamba.

Our instructor Kyd Campbell is a seasoned horseback guide and  trainer who learned to ride in classic English riding schools throughout her youth in Canada and is one of the foremost backcountry horseback guides in South America. She is a WIlderness First Aid First Responder and studied the EAGALA method of Equine Assisted Growth and Learning.

Please bring: 
- adequate clothing: long pants, long sleeve shirt, boots or shoes with a small heel if possible (avoid heavy hiking boot or very light shoes)

Conditions

Payment is required in advance to book any lesson or series. New students in group lessons must participate in an introductory session, with their families, before beginning the regular classes. A package of group lessons must be used within the same month. Payments for monthly group classes must be recieved by the 1st of the month to secure a students spot. A class may be rescheduled, according to availability, with 48 hour advance notice. No refund or rescheduling will be offered in the case of failure to inform or to show up for a class. A standard responsibility release waiver provided by the ranch much be signed by each rider. Upon requesting a booking a detailed list of conditions, inclusions and exclusions will be provided.
