people kyd and toni have been working at a distance, running tiny noise entirely through online communication since 2005. they created the project because listening to noise makes them feel a lot better. tiny noise relies heavily on trust, luck, friends, sounds and supporters.
Kyd Campbell is a nomadic programmer and curator born in Montreal, Canada specialized in circulation, media and audio art and is also as a digital creator of public interactive situations. She has developed a number of cultural venues in Canada and Eastern Europe including collaborations with the Upgrade! International network, Public Art Lab's project Mobile Studios, the Pure Data community, the HTMlles festival and CTRL_ATL_DEL festival in Istanbul. She is co-founder of tiny noise and contributes to digital communities and research groups focused on observing mobility and the emotional aspects of human-machine relationships. Remaining independent allows her some freedom to speculate and experiment, to welcome all forms of collaboration and information exchange. frontierlab is the name that she uses to group all of her curatorial and artistic projects together. The logo is a hot water bottle.
acid fake is Toni's web label and design division. It seems to be a label that explores new inventive structures of sound so called music. It is concentrated on noise, glitch, dubby soundscapes, rhythmic clicks n cuts variations.... Its intention is to find and present to audiences known and unknown artists and projects that explore the reality of sounds, experiment in its pure form. |
